What System Do You Use for GDI?
This was a discussion started over at myLot:
What system do you use with your GDI business? is it really worth it? how about for those people who does not have any extra money to spend for advertising?
And here’s my response:
Hi [name omitted]! I won’t go into my story about GDI, but let’s just say I was in during their beginning days some 7-8 years ago and quit. I’m no long kicking my behind over that decision.
I re-joined October 2007 with a commitment of not ever quitting again because after trying dozens and dozens of other programs, none really comes close to offering what GDI does. To date, I have two referrals, with 2 more spending time picking a good domain name and of course, there’s my buddy StereoDiva who’s giving it some thought.
I’m big into residual income programs because once you have them going good, you earn money even when you’re away from the computer doing things like going to watch “Iron Man”, get some shopping done and then yard work. This is what I’ve been doing all weekend.
The thing I like to express to new marketers is that you want to establish your presence on the internet. You do this by getting your own domain name and website! And I’m not talking about a free web host either. That’s just so tacky!
GDI is a legitimate opportunity and with time, patience and the ability to afford the $10 monthly fee, you can build a full-time income with it. I want to retire for good in about 12 years and I hope that I will have reached my goal of $3,905 monthly. That with my current military retirement will allow me to maintain the same standard of living I’ve grown accustomed to without working any more.
The problem with getting referrals to GDI is keeping them after they’ve joined. I’ve put several systems in place to try and help with that.
#1 The Dream Team Formula. This is pretty cool because instead of promoting my own referral link, it forces me to promote my referral’s URL until his downline is filled through 5 levels. My referrals are using the system to do the same thing for their referrals. To see it in action, visit this link: http://honest-marketing.com/dtfgdi
Click on the signup link (don’t worry, it doesn’t sign you up for anything) and look at the member’s name in the top right-hand corner. It won’t be name, Edward Gause. Pretty sweet, don’t you think. The system ensures everyone is working for their team as long as they use the DTF system. It cost to get the system setup and I have already done that so that my future team members don’t have to. It will be free to them.
#2 One thing I’ve notice is that many GDI members join and don’t take advantage of the web hosting they’re paying for. They focus only on promoting the opportunity. Enter the Spider Web Marketing System. For those intimidated by HTML, this system allows you to use your web hosting to create a blog and automatically posts new articles for you. It also allows you to earn 12 additional streams of income. I’ve figured out 5 of them, haven’t figured out where the other 7 come in yet.
They were using blogger to host the blogs, but switched over to WordPress this weekend and the servers crashed. I’d love for you to see how it looks posted on my .ws domain but for now, that’s a no-go. I’ll update the post when it’s working again. And finally….
#3 Income Team Builder System. I created this one myself. The objective here is to use only 5 PTC programs to earn enough to cover the $10 GDI fee. As your referral downline grows, you will eventually earn more than that. Any extra money can be put into your advertising budget for paid ads or you can just spend it as you like. Only PTC programs that pay by check or PayPal are used and only the ones that pay on a monthly basis. Waiting 3-6 months for a $5 or $10 payment just isn’t worth the effort. The income team builder also allows you to build your referrals in myLot,Yuwie and the Spider Web System too.
So as you can see, I sort of have a plan to recruit AND retain GDI referrals to help me retire. With all that in place, I’m not looking at different lead sources to find the right one(s) for getting referrals. So, as you can see, I sort of have a plan in place and as I get better and more organized, I can pull it all together to make one awesome business plan for my team. I’m gonna need to do this for them if I want to retire…and STAY retired.
Cheers,
Ed

Hi there,
You are absolutely right, one of GDI and other affiliate programs as well, is to keep your referrals after they have joined.
The best solutions are downline builders, such as Dream Team Formula or 3in7.com.
If you want to keep your new members, that recently joined, you have to offer them support and even place new members under them, in order to motivate and stimulate them. Dream Team Formula does that just perfectly. But if you want to even more, you just use the downline move option from GDI.
For a healthy and constantly growing downline you have to build your downline not only wide but also deep.
Kind regards,
Izabella

I totally agree with you about residual income programs as the best way to build a monthly automatic income. Simple because you do a lot of work at the beginning but as soon your system kick off, you get to enjoying your time and still get paid every month for others people work.
The secret is to build a strong base for your business.
