What I’ve Learned about PTC Programs
If you look closer at the ads at most PTC sites, you’ll see that most of them are for other PTC programs and many belong to the owner of the site that’s promoting them. Let me share my feelings about PTC programs here.
I’ve always been and will always be a proponent of residual income programs, because once you have your system pumped up and in place, you can literally do what everyone wants to do. Spend more time enjoying life instead of working and sitting in front of the computer all day.
I avoided PTC, survey programs and the like for years because I believed there’s no money to be made there. I felt working hours, days, months just to earn a few dollars was a complete waste of time. Survey sites were completely out of the question for me. Number 1, your mailbox starts filling up with junk as the companies sell your information. Number 2, for the free offers where you get 14 or 30 day free trials, I knew that I would end up loosing track or forgetting to cancel and end up paying for something I really didn’t want.
Back in August 2007, I decided to check out these programs as a way of potentially earning just enough to pay the cost of an affiliate program, thereby spending no out-of-pocket expenses. I did this because so many people coming online looking for money making opportunities look for the free ones and 99.5% of the free opportunities don’t pay.
Ok, so back to my story. If I pay $10 per month for a residual opportunity that can eventually get me to $3,905 monthly (my personal goal…I’m not greedy), then all I need to do is join enough programs and invest just enough time to earn $10, I’ll be good to go. If I was lucky enough to get any referrals, that would be bonus earnings I could use for paid advertising or whatever.
I quickly learned that the PTC sites paying less than $0.01 per click are not worth the time for earning but good for inexpensive advertising. For earnings potential, you want to join the ones that pay $0.01-$0.02 per click and the same for referrals.
I’ve learned that the best sites to join are the ones that pay on a monthly schedule and pay on time when you’ve reached payout. There are some PTC programs that are still paying but you may end up waiting 3-6 months or longer. If your goal is to earn enough to pay for a better paying program, you want your payments on time - every time!
I’ve learned that when a new PTC program starts up, The owners usually pays quickly (within a few weeks) the first time you reach payout. They also provide good customer service and usually respond to your inquiries. But as they get more members, payouts become longer (if at all) and the owners tend to get nasty attitudes and eventually just don’t bother to respond at all.
I’ve learned that if you get in at the beginning and purchase enough referrals, you can reach that first payout quickly and do get paid.
I’ve learned that PTC owners that don’t provide a forum usually do so because of the number of complaints or people asking questions in public that the owners wouldn’t respond to in private.
I’ve learned that new PTC owners jump into opening their sites without doing the research. After they’ve opened and start out way, say offering 20 ads per day at $0.01 per click quickly realize that with 10,000 active clickers, that’s $60,000 in payouts ($6 per month for each affiliate who’s active everyday), not including referrals.
I’ve learned that many PTC owners, at this point, eventually start selectively paying a few members to keep up the reputation and others just go un-paid.
I’ve learned that when many PTC owners eventually hit the mark where they can no longer make payouts, they close up shop and open up under a different name.
I’ve learned that many of the newer PTC sites aren’t scams, they just run into the situations mentioned above and run away without explanation.
I recognize these are my opinions only and for any situation I mentioned above, there’s always an exception. I also recognize that some will be offended, but if they just take the time to look back and see how many times they were paid and how long it took to reach payout…and the number of referrals they needed, they may somewhat agree with me.
What I’m taking away from all this is that it’s better to get with a couple of PTC programs (4 or 5 tops) that pay on schedule when you reach payout and focus on building an active referral team with them. By doing this, you don’t have to spend as much time clicking PTC links. Your time can be better spent on promotion and even spending more time here on myLot. My personal goal has always been to work smarter - not harder!

I’m not familiar with that program Anthony so I won’t call it a scam. At some point, you will have to make that decision. It could be they just pay slow. Some are content to wait that long for payment. Can you imagine waiting 6 months for a payout and not being able to request a payout of your current earnings until the first one is completed. That’s only twice a year you are paid.
A lot more can be done with earnings paid on a monthly basis if you ask me. Personally, I don’t want to wait any longer than 10-15 days for payments.
Have you come across the site http://secret-edge.com, its supposed to be able to delivery huge amounts of traffic, and I wondered if you have used it and if so with what results

No Steve, never came across that one before today. I have seen similar programs for building your traffic exchange downlines.
